International Application

International students must submit an international application and all required educational documents and test scores to Averett’s Admissions Office before an admissions decision can be made. After acceptance, a deposit of $6,000 and a completed certification of finances form are required before an I-20 (student visa) can be issued. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars. Visa information WILL NOT BE sent unless all of the official paperwork has been received.

The registrar’s office is responsible for providing support and assistance for international students. This includes reporting and record-keeping associated with federal compliance regulations; assistance with concerns regarding immigration related problems and procedures; correspondence with students regarding I-20s and visa application procedures; and counseling for personal, cross-cultural and educational concerns. Contact the registrar’s office by phone at (434) 791-5634.

For questions regarding international student admissions contact Stephanie Mullins at 1-800-AVERETT, ext. 5666 or smullins@averett.edu.
