Students with Disabilities:

If you or your guests are in need of special accommodations due to a permanent or temporary disability, please contact the Dean of Students' Office so that assistance during Orientation can be provided.

Academics at Averett are very different than high school. While our goal is to see all students succeed, new students must understand that effort must be put into the academic course work to succeed. Students that received an Individual Education Plan (IEP) in school are encouraged to submit a copy to the Dean of Students. This will ensure that any required additional services are taken care of promptly to ensure success in the classroom.

International Students:

Welcome to Averett! As with all of our students, we hope that your time here at AU will be memorable. As you prepare to arrive to campus, there are a few things that you need to keep in mind.

-As you are scheduling flights, the two closest airports to Averett are Raleigh/Durham International Airport (RDU) and the Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) in Greensboro, NC.

-If you need transportation from the airport to campus, contact the Admissions Office to arrange to be picked up.

-If you will be arriving to campus before the residence halls open, please contact the Residence Life Office to arrange for an early arrival.
