Begin your search for articles on a topic with a reference database or bibliography in your area of interest. Databases are listed by subject and alphabetically by title. Many databases provide full text online. You can read articles, save them to disk, or print them. To locate a full text article from a citation: 1. Type or paste the journal or "source" title (not the article title) into the Journal Locator: 2. If the journal is online for the issue or date in your citation, link to that database and look for the specific issue, or search by article author, title, or subject. (The best method depends on the database.) 3. If the Journal Locator shows holdings in current issues, bound, microfilm, or fiche format, come to the library to get the article. If you are not in Danville, contact the Reference Desk for assistance. We will fax the article to you. 4. If the journal is not listed for the issue you require, enter a complete citation (journal or "source" title, date of publication, volume and issue number, article author and title, and page numbers) on an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request, or send the information to aclib@averett.edu. ILL articles are usually delivered within 2-4 days. For assistance, contact the Averett Library Reference desk You can can also browse the Averett journal collection by subject: |
