Archives

Mary B. Blount Library is the repository for the archives, or non-current records of enduring value, of Averett University. Papers from the office of the President and chief administrative officers are transferred periodically to the library. Access to these materials is governed by policies established by the university administration and the library.

The library also collects faculty and university publications, Averett historic treasures, publications by and about students and alumni, and information on Danville and Pittsylvania County history. Most materials collected on Averett, local, and Baptist history are accessible by appointment with the archivist.
