Averett students, faculty and staff can now access full contents of The Chronicle of Higher Education, Academe Today, and related services online:

The Chronicle of Higher Education

This weekly publication, with daily online services and archive dating from 1989, is a premier source for higher education news and commentary, book reviews, statistics, job listings, and grants information.

Access for the Averett community is supported for this year by the Conwell A. Anderson Fund for the Mary B. Blount Library. This site license replaces all individual subscriptions funded by the university. The library will no longer receive a printed copy of The Chronicle.

Access is available from the library Databases, A-Z. Feel free to add a direct link to your personal home page, including the Averett URL prefix coded above.

When connecting from off-campus, you will be prompted to log in with your last name and Averett ID number. Call the library (5692) if you do not know your ID number and cannot find it on your Averett ID card.
