Averett University offers 14 intercollegiate sports that compete at the NCAA Division III level within the USA South Athletic Conference. Cougar student-athletes total more than 250 individuals and represent the University in the sports of baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, football, men’s golf, women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, and women’s volleyball.
