Graduates of Averett's Criminal Justice Program find success in many areas of law enforcement including careers as:

  • Police officers
  • Crime scene investigators
  • Special agents for the FBI
  • Drug enforcement agents
  • FAA investigators
  • Probation officers

Sociology/Criminal Justice majors study criminal law, prisons, court processes and procedures, the Constitution and police procedures. This is a good major for students interested in forensic science, detective work, or for entry into law school.

Averett also offers a degree in Aerospace Management/Criminal Justice to prepare students for law enforcement careers with the FAA and other aviation-related criminal justice positions.
