A major in Chemistry prepares students for careers
in:
- Molecular biology
- Biotechnology
- Chemistry
- Environmental science
- Medicine
- Pharmacy
- Physiology
- Teaching (must complete teacher licensure requirements)
Graduates of the chemistry program have found success
in industrial laboratories, the teaching field and in graduate and
professional schools. Students who demonstrate excellence in chemistry
are eligible for the annual Freshman Chemistry Achievement Award.
Membership in the American Chemical Society is also available to
interested students.
